DORMITORY (SUWON)

We are opening dormitory residence applications for 2022 Winter Vacation as below. Please check attached admission information before applying.

You can apply one of two residential periods that Bongryonghaksa operates.

[1] The whole Winter vacation : Dec. 10. 2022. ~ Feb. 17. 2023. (69nights & 70days)

[2] Only for Winter semester : Dec. 10. 2022. ~ Dec. 31. 2022. (21night & 22days)

* Shin-kwan A is closed during winter vacation.

* Shin-kwan B is for Graduate/Undergraduate student & Male/Female.

      Shin-kwan B : 1st ~ 7th Floor for Female student. 8th ~ 15th Floor for Male student.

      (Floor allocation could be changed as dormitory status)

*If you apply only for winter semester, you could extend to whole period later. But, there might be possibility of changing the room. An if there is no vacancy, you can’t extend.

*In case of Application and Payment, Please well check attached 'admission information' in order to avoid any disadvantage.

*Freshman of 2022 Fall semester can not apply for the Dormate. in case of Dormate application, 2people or 4people or 6people should be select same schedule. (Whole winter vacation or only for winter semester.)

*During vacation, Part of buildings or floors will be used due to energy-saving, room cleaning, and maintenance. so most students must be assigned to a new room and move.

*Shin-kwan A is using for quarantine or educational training. So, All residents of Shin-kwan A will be allocated at Shin-kwan B.

*Freshman for Graduated student of 2023 can’t apply for the dormitory. but if there is vacancy after 1st and 2nd selection, they also can apply for the dormitory.

(But, graduating student who has undergraduate student’s ID can apply for dormitory.)

*Extension of check-out for 2022 Fall semester is not available.

*In case of Residents from 2022 fall semester, no need to resubmit of TB test. but still need to submit covid-19 negative result.

★In case of application period, there are many inquiries, so the waiting time may be long or difficult to call. Please read ‘admission information’ carefully before you ask us.

[FAQ]

Q. I wanted to apply for the whole winter vacation, but I mistakenly only applied for the winter semester (or vice-versa). We are still in the application period. How can I change my application?

A. You can’t apply for both the whole winter vacation and the winter semester, so you have to cancel your first application and re-apply for the correct period. In the application menu, select "List of applications" and click "Modify application". Click the "Cancel application" button in the bottom right. Then on the application schedule you should re-apply by choosing the correct period and clicking "Apply for admission".

Q. I missed the first application period. What should I do?

A. There is a second application period. For a detailed schedule, please check the attached general information.

Q. Which semester's grades are used for selection during the vacation?

A. We only consider your most recent scores (usually spring semester, 2022). However, summer and winter semester grades are not considered. When you apply, the "Check personal information" tab will display your previous semester's grades. You can re-check this in the application window.
