DORMITORY (SEOUL)

You can get a registered post at the security office of your dorm.

If you don't live in the dorm anymore, your post will be returned to a sender.

Please be careful when you write the address.

  Permissible Item: Computer(Laptop), Printer, Hair dryer, Desk lamp, Mobile phone charger,

                                  Hand-held vacuum cleaner, Humidifier, Fan, Mini-fridge(Less than 50L), and so on.
 

   ※ If you want to use a fridge(Less than 50L), printer, vacuum cleaner, or etc,
       you have to apply for the use of the faclility on the GLS.

  During the semester or vacation, if there are any vacancies,

  you can apply at GLS on a first-come, first-served basis.

     ※ You must agree to the dormitory admission agreement.

[ Dormitory Rules of Check-in/out ]

   You can not check in the dorm before the official check-in date.

  Students who have a gap year cannot apply for dorms for Spring&Fall semester.
  In addition, if you are having a gap year and live in the dorms, you must leave the dormitory within a week.    However, you can apply for a dormitory during the summer/winter vacation.

  You need to send(transfer) a TOTAL DORMITORY FEE to the bank account which is individually given. 

  You can check your bank account information on the GLS.

    ※ No Card or Cash payment

         Unable to pay in installments

   • All the dormitory fee has included the deposit. (An amount of KRW 50,000) * Exchange Students excepted

  We do not encourage you to send your stuff before your check-in date

 due to the risk of the loss of your items.

  After check-out from dorm, your items can be kept up to 7 days in the Direct dorms(C/E/G/I/M).

  If it is longer than 7days, it will be thrown away. 

  ※ The dormitory doesn't have any responsiblity for damage or loss.

  · Official Check-in Time:

     It is available from 3pm.

     ※ Subject to change (Refer to the check-in notice on the dorm website)

  ♦ Your room will be assigned randomly unless you apply for dormmates. (Roommate).

  ♦ To apply for a roommate, you should not have any penalty points.

     ※ A fresh-year student can not apply for it.

  ♦ If you're currently living in the dorm and are assigned to the same dorm for next semester,

     it is possible to be assigned to the same room.

  ♦ However, if there is a problem with the dormitory such as Facilities management, Construction, etc, 

     you have to move to another room. 

  ☞ How to apply for Admission

     

•   • Undergraduate students(based on previous semester) is the priority,
•     and graduate students are the next.
•   • The priority selection applies only to new students of foreign nationality.
•     (priority selection does not guarantee admission to the first choice).
•     Enrolled students are admitted through a competitive process based on academic performance.

  • The ratio of the First year of undergraduate students to registered students = 70%: 30%

  • Fail to Dormitory admission: Students with low grades or penalty points for the previous semester

    ※ Average grades can be refererred on the dormitory website. 

    Tuberculosis test result (Chest x-ray)

      • Mandatory submission on the day of Dormitory admission

      • 6 Months valid only

      • Allowed to send us an e-mail(dorms@skku.edu)with a screenshot of the TB document

        before your check-in date. ※ Mail subject: Dormitory Name/Student ID Number/Student Name/Date of Test result 

      • A dupliate of the TB document is permissible.

  Operating hours: AM 9:00 ~ PM 5:30 (Weekdays)

                                  Lunch time: PM 12:00 ~ PM 1:00

                                    Closed on  Weekends & Public holidays 

  E-house only has a cafeteria.

    - E-house residents can apply for meal plan.

  Crownville/Victory(Leased dormitory)residents can cook in the kitchens(Public/Room).

  C/I/M-house(Direct dormitories)residents can cook in the public kitchens.

 < Available hospitals for TB test >

  Everyone has different sleeping patterns.

  We think it's better to assign your roommate who has similar sleeping pattern with you.

  In addition, there are other questions such as whether you smoke or not, etc.
  Please fill out correct answers regarding those questions.

 If any facility such as chair, light, etc in your room needs to be repaired,

 you can request the repair of the facility.

 There are several ways to request repair services, and you can request them in one of these ways.

   □  Apply for it on the dorm website. (Seoul dormitory website→ Community → Repair Service)

         As soon as we confirm your request, we will notify the manager of your dormitory facility,

         and he will visit your room to check it.
